Laura Lynne Kolpak born July 2, 1973 in Roseburg, passed very peacefully from this world unto Heaven June 24, 2024 at Avamere Care Facility in Junction City. Laura is survived by her mother, Mary Kolpak of Canyonville, two sisters, Rhonda Franke of Sandy and Janet Martin (Robert) of Roseburg. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew, 6 great nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and friends whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Kolpak in 1999. If you knew Laura, you knew she had many health struggles beginning at birth. In her young life she survived many life saving procedures & hospitalizations, and in her teen years brain surgery & a liver transplant. In later years she survived her first stroke which left her with debilitating health and eventually lead her to live her last few years at Adam’s House in Myrtle Creek! Laura made many friends at Adam’s House including staff and residents! As a child she always had a smile on her face and loved playing with her friends, family and sisters! Spoiled? Yes of course as her initial diagnosis said Laura would likely not live beyond 4 years of age! Laura had many people in her life that loved her dearly and she reciprocated that love in return! Not that she couldn’t be a little or a lot stubborn at times and want to do it her way! Some of us can attest to that!. Laura gave her heart to the Lord at a young age of 12 and was baptized in the Umpqua River! Laura believed in the power of prayer and her life of 50 years proved beyond a shadow of doubt that our Heavenly Father had His hand upon her life! She will be greatly missed by all who loved her! A Celebration of Life is planned for August 17, 2024 at Evergreen Park, at 11:00 in Myrtle Creek with a potluck to follow! All are welcome to join the family in remembering Laura.
