Grant Sherman Williams, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack on September 6, 2024 at the age of 62.
Grant was born in Salem, Oregon on July 27, 1962 to Tom and Toni Williams. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest with his brothers Cary and Curt. Bambridge Island, Washington and Elmira, Oregon were home during his childhood.
He met his first wife, Lisa Andreason, in highschool. They were married and had their son Brennan. A motivated young man, Grant was a jack of all trades. In his younger years he worked for Hughes Aircraft in Southern California and then Nashville Audio Video Productions in Nashville, Tennessee until he made his way back to Eugene, Oregon where he lived out the rest of his days.
In the early 90’s he met his second wife, Teresa Metcalf, who became his lifelong companion. He was the most loving husband and a devoted father to their children Jessica, Bradley, Stephanie, and Tiffany. He was a proud grandfather to Brennan's daughter Jaclyn, Jessica's daughters Emry and Ashlynn, and most recently Brad and Samantha's daughter Elena. Last but not least his two dogs who were his beloved fur babies, Orion and Abby.
An entrepreneur at heart, he started and ran Crib World on W.11th with his father. He helped his brother Curt manage The Paintball Palace on W.7th for many years until he finally shifted gears to pest control in early 2000s. He was hired as the Sales Manager for Swansons Pest Management until he broke off and started Ultimate Pest Control in 2009. Over the next 15 years he built a successful family business and a legacy. The ultimate pest, wildlife, and insulation company in Lane County! He loved helping others and bringing peace and safety to his customers and their homes. He touched many lives and hearts on his journey. He dearly loved his employees and work family; Samantha, Jason, Byrd, Eric, Allen, Doug and Dustin.
Grant had a passion for Jesus and God and loved to worship! He was ordained and served as Youth Pastor at Chapel of Praise and ministered to and married many friends and family. He enjoyed dirt bike and motorcycle riding, a good sound system to bump some christian rock, cruising in his corvette, golfing, hunting, fishing, crabbing, boating; but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Grant will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family and God. He was a true Christian man who gave freely and helped many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 28, 2024 at his church, Christ's Center 530 W Seventh Ave Junction City, OR from 11am - 1pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life at Junction City Grange 1420 Kalmia St Junction City, OR.
